Friendly Streets is for feedback about driving. Every message is about a real person's car, so we hold messages to a high standard. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users.
Do
- Describe what happened on the road: "Cut me off merging onto I-70 at Exit 410."
- Keep it calm and constructive. Thank people too.
Don't
- Threaten anyone, or suggest violence, following someone, or "finding" them.
- Harass or bully, or insult someone's race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or appearance.
- Share personal information: names, phone numbers, emails, home or work addresses, workplaces, or anything else that identifies or locates a person.
- Use profanity, slurs or sexual content.
- Post spam, ads or links.
- Post on a plate to settle a personal dispute, or about someone you know.
How we enforce these rules
- Filtering: messages are checked automatically for profanity, slurs, threats, personal information and links before they're posted, and there's a limit on how many messages you can post in a short time.
- Reporting: anyone can report a message. Messages reported for threats, harassment, hate or personal information are hidden immediately while we review them. We review every report within 24 hours.
- Blocking: you can block anyone so you never see their messages again.
- Removal: we remove messages that break these rules, and suspend people who post them. Serious or repeated violations lead to a permanent ban. Where there's a threat to someone's safety, we may share information with law enforcement.
